RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said seat-sharing among Mahagathbandhan allies would be “decided in two-three days as it is in the final stage”

The upcoming Lok Sabha Elections might mark Bollywood actor and model Neha Sharma’s entry into politics, her father Congress leader Ajay Sharma said. MLA from Bihar’s Bhagalpur, Sharma said if his party gets to contest from the seat after discussions on Mahagatbandhan seat-sharing, his daughter might get a ticket from the constituency.

“Congress should get Bhagalpur constituency as it is our stronghold, talks on seat sharing arrangement is on. If we get this seat, it is up to the party’s high command to take a call on who can contest, if the party asks me, I will contest or maybe my daughter Neha Sharma might contest from this constituency. We will have to wait and see,” MLA Ajay Sharma said.

On the INDIA bloc’s chances to fight the NDA, Sharma said he was confident of Congress’s victory and that they would wipe off BJP from Bihar.

INDIA Bloc Seat Sharing in Bihar

INDIA bloc’s seat-sharing announcement in Bihar is expected this week. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, who returned to Patna on March 18 after attending the Opposition INDIA (Indian National Developmental, Inclusive Alliance) bloc rally in Mumbai, said seat-sharing among Mahagathbandhan allies would be “decided in two-three days as it is in the final stage”.

“Everything will be decided in two or three days. It is in the final stages. There are some issues over a seat or two, but everything will be sorted out,” Yadav said.

NDA Releases List of Candidates in Bihar

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 17 out of 40 seats in Bihar while the Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (U) got 16 seats in the deal announced by the NDA for the Lok Sabha elections.

Lok Janashakti Party (Ram Vilas) would field its candidates in 5 seats including Hajipur and Jamui. Hindustani Awas Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha will contest 1 seat each. In 2019, the NDA secured 39 out of 40 seats in Bihar.

Bihar LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Raju Tiwari said Chirag Paswan will contest from Hajipur Lok Sabha seat, which has been given to the party under the seat-sharing pact.
