Netflix is getting several console games soon.

Netflix has announced that titles such as Hades, Death’s Door, and more will be making their debut on the streaming giant. Here are the details.

Streaming giant Netflix has enabled its subscribers to play games on the platform for a while now, bundled with the subscription for iOS and Android users, and over the years, the streaming giant has become increasingly serious about gaming–now offering around 90 titles. The company has recently announced that Hades, which was named Game of The Year by several publications in 2020, is making its debut on the service.

Notably, this marks the first time that Hades will be available on mobile. However, the game will only be accessible to iOS users for now, as Android users won’t have access to it.

Hades, developed by SuperGiant Games, is a roguelike, requiring players to start anew each time they die. In the game, players take on the role of Zagreus, the son of Hades, on a quest to the underworld to reach Mount Olympus. The characters are based on Greek mythology, and as you progress through the levels and die, the rooms get repopulated, offering a fresh experience each time you play. It’s only after unlocking certain permanent upgrades and experiences that you can finish the game in one go. Hades is set to arrive on Netflix in 2024.

Furthermore, Netflix plans to add other games like Death’s Door, a multi-platform game coming to mobile where players take on the role of a crow traversing various dungeons to gather souls for the Reaping Commission Headquarters. Another indie classic, Braid, initially launched on the Xbox 360 in 2008, will also be available on Netflix. In Braid, players control Tim, who can manipulate the flow of time to solve a series of puzzles and rescue an abducted princess.
