Apple is gearing up for a big iPad refresh which should bring the new iPad Air and Pro models to the market for buyers. Here’s what we know

Apple is going to be super busy over the next few months, building up to the big WWDC 2024 keynote and sessions in June. However, the company is also expected to announce the new iPad lineup, which includes the new Air and Pro models for the market. The company is unlikely to have an event for these products as well, but it is likely that Apple will have multiple accessories launching along with the new iPads for the market.

So, what can we expect from the new iPads, what will they offer compared to the previous models and will people be tempted to buy or upgrade from their older devices? Here’s everything we know about the upcoming launch.

Apple iPad Air and Pro 2024 Models Launch: Everything We Know

From what we have been hearing, the new iPad Air and Pro models could get a design refresh which is long overdue. Apple wants to dish out the M2 chipset for the iPad Air, which is likely to be offered in 10.9-inch and even a 12.9-inch version which will be first for the Air tablet series. It will be interesting to see the company justify bringing the Air in this size, which more or less takes it into the Mac/laptop-category.

The new iPad looks similar to the current model, but it’s bigger. It might have the same button placements, with the Touch ID sensor at the top of the iPad. However, the camera module has been redesigned slightly, with a border around the lens—something reminiscent of the recent iPhone models.

As for the iPad Pro model, we expect Apple to go berserk with the M3 chip, featuring an OLED display and changes to its design to compliment that will inevitably cause a price bump for the lineup.

These two iPad models could be lining up along with a new version of the Apple Pencil and a new-look Magic Keyboard that will look to build on the functionality of the 12.9-inch iPad models and pair it with iPadOS for the best results. Apple’s iPad lineup has become complex in recent times, hopefully these new products help make it easier for consumers to choose the right one for their needs.
