Nine fans of Jr NTR booked for ‘sacrificing’ goat during birthday celebrations in Andhra Pradesh’s Machilipatnam

Nine fans of actor Junior NT Rama Rao (Jr NTR) were booked by Robertsonpet police for killing two goats and anointing with their blood on the actor’s poster at Siri Venkat and Siri Krishna theaters in Chemmanagiripeta, Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district it was done. ,

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the accused Siva Naga Raju Pothumudi (25) of Gudalavaleru, along with his friends Sai Kumbam, Sai Ganjala, Naga Bhushanam Dhavu, Sai Vakkalagadda, Nageswara Rao Pallapu, Dharani Yeliktala, Shiva Parasa and Anil Kumar Bolla , brought two goats to the theater and slaughtered them as ‘sacrifice’ at religious places. Later, they picked up the mutilated carcasses of goats and smeared blood on posters of the actor, while hundreds of people applauded and made videos. A video of the same went viral on social media platforms.

The case was registered under IPC section 409 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle) and section 11 (1) (a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act (PCCA) by Sub-Inspector G. Based on the incident report lodged by Vasu. ,

Tejowant Anupoju, a member of the AP State Animal Welfare Board, had also lodged a complaint with the Robertsonpet police on the day of the incident. He condemned the inhuman act done by the group.

Mr Tejovanth said the actor himself requested fans not to resort to such cruelty against animals. Speaking at an event in 2016, Mr Jr NTR had asked his fans to donate food to cinema halls instead of animal sacrifices.
