Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Launched 189 construction projects worth Rs 2,530 crore through video conferencing from ‘Sankalp’ hall of his official residence at 1, Anne Marg here on Monday.
Out of 189 projects, 106 buildings costing Rs 1,340 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for the remaining 83 projects costing Rs 1,189 crore.

“Huge amount is spent on the construction of government buildings. Proper maintenance of buildings is very essential. All departmental engineers will pay attention to regular maintenance.
The CM also ordered fresh appointment of engineers and staff for maintenance works. “If more engineers, officers and staff are required for the smooth execution of maintenance works, the department should immediately start the process of appointing new staff,” he added.
