Nothing is working on a new phone, here’s what it may be called – Times of India

Nothing Phone 2 was launched in July this year and the company is said to be already working on a new smartphone. As per a new development, the London-based company is rumoured to launch an affordable phone that may look like the Nothing Phone 1.
While Nothing hasn’t teased or delved out any information about a third smartphone, a tipster has claimed in a post on X that Nothing is working on a new smartphone which is not the Nothing Phone 3.He claims that the phone will have the “Nothing Phone 2a” moniker and carry the model number AIN142.
He also posted an image which suggests the rumoured Nothing Phone 2a sporting a back panel and Glyph interface similar to the Nothing Phone 1. The image shows a dual rear camera unit and a transparent rear cover for which Nothing smartphones are famous for.

The tipster claims that the rumoured Nothing Phone 2a may sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout for front camera. Since there is no official information, it is advised that readers take this with a grain of salt.

Nothing launched the Phone 2 in India on July 11. The phone is powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and packs a 4,700mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. The second generation smartphone succeeded Nothing Phone 1, which made its debut in July last year. Both the phones come with a unique glyph interface – a set of hundreds of LEDs that have multiple functionalities.
Nothing Phone 2 is currently available for purchase starting at a price of Rs 39,999 for its 8GB + 128GB variant, Rs 44,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and Rs 49,999 for the top-end 12GB + 512GB variant. It is offered in two colour options – Dark Grey and White.
