Nothing has revealed that the phone (2) will have a large display.

London-based smartphone brand Nothing has confirmed that it will be manufacturing its upcoming Phone 2 in India. The much awaited Nothing phone will be launched on 2 July 2023 (next month). Ahead of the launch, Manu Sharma, VP & GM, Nothing India, confirmed the news of the Nothing Phone (2) being produced in India.

“Nothing smartphone is known for its iconic transparent design. These designs require high-tech manufacturing processes and precision engineering, which has led to the growth of smartphone manufacturing capabilities in India. Our commitment to manufacture in India The campaign reflects our commitment to local consumers and their demands. We are proud to announce that the phone (2) will be manufactured in India,” Manu Sharma, Vice President and GM, Nothing India, said in a statement.

As for the specifications, Nothing founder Carl Pei said last month that the Phone (2) will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 series chipset, which is a clear upgrade from the Phone (1). In a tweet, Pei said its initial tests show that app opening speeds on the Phone (2) are up to twice as fast as those on the Phone (1), “with an impressive 80 percent improvement in overall performance”.

Going by his statement, we can expect the Phone (2) to be a significant upgrade over the Phone (1), not only in terms of performance but also in terms of overall experience, which Pei prioritizes over specs.

Recently, nothing has been revealed that the phone (2) will have a large display. The display size will increase by 0.15 inches, making it a 6.7-inch screen. Furthermore, nothing has worked to reduce the environmental impact of the Nothing phone (2).

It will use recycled materials for the phone and manufacturing process and the overall CO2 emissions from making each unit have been reduced to 53.45kg, which is 5kg less than the phone (1). The phone is said to pack a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for fast charging and wireless charging, reports GSMArena. Also, Android 13 and NothingOS 1.5 on top.

The report adds that the Nothing Phone (2) will receive three years of Android updates and four years of security updates.
