Nushrratt Bharuccha was stranded in Israel after Hamas made a surprise attack on the country. The actress has safely returned to India.
Nushrratt Bharuccha returned to Mumbai on Sunday after being stranded in Israel during the Hamas terror attack. The paparazzi spotted Nushrratt making her way out of the Mumbai airport on Sunday afternoon. Nushrratt was in Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival. Photos and videos of her appearance at the film festival were shared online.
The actress was visibly shaken. Nushrratt Bharuccha also appeared emotional. As she made her way out of the airport, she got mobbed.

On Saturday, her team told India Today that Nushrratt was stuck in Israel amid the surprise attack from Hamas. Though they spoke to her shortly after, they had lost touch with her since Saturday afternoon. Earlier in the day, in a statement to News18, her team confirmed that they reconnected with her and she was headed home.
“We have finally managed to get in touch with Nushrratt and with the help of the Embassy, she is being safely brought back home,” her team said in a statement to News18. “We did not get a direct flight so she is on a connecting flight home. For her further safety, more details cannot be shared but as soon as she lands in India, we will inform you. We are relieved and thank god that she is safe and on her way to India,” they added.
A source from the Israeli government had said that Nushrratt had reached the airport but couldn’t board her flight due to the chaos at the airport. On Saturday, a surprise attack by Hamas on Israel, which combined gunmen breaching security barriers with a barrage of rockets fired from Gaza, was launched at dawn on Saturday during the Jewish high holiday of Simchat Torah.
Nushrratt was in Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival. Her film Akelli was showcased at the film festival. In the video from the festival, Nushrratt was seen singing with Iraeli star Tsahi Halevi. In the video shared on X (previously known as Twitter), Nushrratt was seen singing Amitabh Bachchan’s song Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan from the film Yaarana (1981). She was joined by Tsahi Halevi. The duo sang the song together while the audience cheered for them. In another post, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Tsahi Halevi were seen posing together.
