Odisha train accident is Mamta’s conspiracy: Shubhendu Adhikari

Leader of the Opposition in West Bengal Shubhendu Adhikari claimed that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) was responsible for a train accident in odishaWhere about 275 people lost their lives. In a tragic incident, Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, Coromandel Express and a goods train collided on separate tracks at Bahanaga Bazar station in Balasore district on June 2.

“This incident (Odisha train accident) is a conspiracy by TMC. They are behind this incident,” the official alleged.

“Why are they so nervous since yesterday when the incident is from another state. Why are they afraid of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe?” They said.

The official referred to a purported audio clip of a conversation between two railway officials posted by TMC leader Kunal Ghosh on Twitter on Sunday.

He further said, “These people tapped the phones of both the railway officials with the help of the police. How did these people know the conversation of the two railway officials? How did the conversation get leaked. This should come under the CBI inquiry. If it does not come I’ll go to court.”

Chief Minister of West Bengal and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee The Railway Board on Monday criticized the Railway Board’s move to involve the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Odisha train accident probe, saying it was an attempt to suppress the truth while stressing on the need for transparency at this juncture.

He further said, “I had also given the Dnyaneshwari Express case to the CBI, but there was no result. It has been 12 years, but we are not seeing any result. The CBI handles criminal and accident cases. The Commission of Railway Safety is there.” “

Banerjee visited the accident site in Balasore on Saturday to take stock of the rescue operations and questioned why the Centre’s ‘Kavach’ system was missing from the track of the collision.

Banerjee, who was the Union Railway Minister, termed the incident as the “biggest rail accident of the 21st century” and said that it would not have happened if the Kavach system was in place. Coromandel is one of the best express trains.

“Coromandel is one of the best express trains. I was railway minister thrice. From what I have seen, this is the biggest train accident of the 21st century. Such cases are referred to the Commission of Safety of Railways and they investigate And give a report. As far as I know, there was no anti-collision device in the train. If there was a device in the train, this would not have happened. The dead could not be brought back but now our job is rescue operation and restoration of normalcy The Chief Minister of West Bengal said this on Saturday while addressing the reporters in Balasore in the presence of Union Railway Minister.
