An official said the hospital facilitated the reunion of the boy, who was traveling in the ill-fated Coromandel Express, with his parents, who were on the lookout for him after learning about the accident that killed 288 people. “An emotional moment for us as Ramanand Paswan, a 15-year-old boy from Nepal who was a victim of the Balasore train accident, has been miraculously reunited with his parents,” the hospital tweeted.

The Coromandel Express collided with a stationary goods train at 7 pm on 2 June, derailing most of its coaches. Some of them fell on the last few coaches of the Bengaluru-Howrah Express, which was passing at the same time. Overall, 288 people were killed in the accident and more than 1,200 were injured.
