One person was killed and nine others were injured in a shooting that took place on Saturday night (local time) in Mobile City in the US state of Alabama. Citing a WPMI report, CNN said the incident took place not far from where people had gathered for the city’s New Year celebrations.

Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine said police were notified of a shooting in the 200 block of Dauphin Street at 11:15 p.m. (local time), CNN reported citing WPMI. According to Prine, officers arrived at the scene and found one person dead and several others injured.
