OnePlus 12 prototype shows off periscope cameras, stylish design

China-based electronics maker One Plus is expected to launch the One Plus 12 in December. After the success of One Plus 11, the smartphone company decided to give its consumers a new and evolved version of the phone. Now, Smartprix has exclusively obtained high-quality rendered images of the OnePlus 12 prototype in collaboration with renowned tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer – aka OnLeaks – and we’ve got a sneak peek at the possible launch soon. One of the notable changes in this phone as compared to its predecessor is the camera setup. The OnePlus 12 will feature periscope cameras for better zooming capabilities. The periscopic telephoto lens is affixed with a noticeable black stripe which gives a touch of sophistication to the camera module of the gadget. On the front, the selfie camera is placed at the top centre. As per the leaked renders, like its previous model, the upcoming OnePlus 12 phone is also expected to feature a punch-hole selfie camera design.

As per the report, the phone is expected to sport a 2K display with slim bezels that will also support PWM dimming. 150W wired and 50W wireless fast charging is reportedly supported by the One Plus 12. Additionally, as per the tipster, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Later this year, the new Adreno 750 GPU is expected to complement this device and provide better performance.

In terms of camera configuration, the device is reported to come equipped with a 50MP IMX9-series main camera sensor, a 50MP wide-angle lens, and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope lens. This is an advanced version of One Plus 11, which had 50MP+48MP+32MP camera combination. It is also expected to feature a 6.7-inch QHD OLED screen with high refresh rate.

The OnePlus 12 will likely pack a 5000mAh battery like its predecessor. The new One Plus will have the same features as the previous model but it is now equipped with better hardware and design.
