Papalpreet was arrested once again in 2016 when he tried to organize the second Sarbat Khalsa at Takht Damdama Sahib Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda. But this attempt was unsuccessful. The police had taken action against the Sarbat Khalsa organisers.
In 2019 also, action was taken against Papalpreet. Papalpreet also reportedly launched a campaign against drug peddlers in 2019. Papalpreet had alleged that the police had falsely implicated him in a case of attempt to murder in order to campaign against drug peddlers.
