In his recent interview, Siddharth said that it was after the success of War that he thought of making an espionage universe. Pathan’s inclusion created scope for many more spies in the universe. he said it was Aditya Chopra who suggested that a universe might be possible.
Talking about getting Hrithik on board for Pathan, Siddharth told Pinkvilla, “We could have brought Hrithik or any other actor on board, but seeing Salman Khan and Shah Rukh in action in a film is a first for us. I think the last time they did an actioner together with Karan Arjun was in 1996. Luckily, Adi had Tiger’s IP to do this crossover and the result is spectacular.
He further added, “Obviously, there was an idea at that time, but since we have just started connecting this universe, it is too early to bring it all together. There must be some thirst to get this combination, but definitely, It’ll be a crossover.” ,
