Syed Irfan Ahmed came to protest and disrupt the show, but since there was no one to join him in the theatre, he went inside and saw the picture on a free ticket.

Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone And John Abraham’s ‘Pathan’ is doing exceptionally well at the box office. Despite the dip on weekdays, Pathan continues to score big. On Day 7, the film reportedly added Rs 21 crore to its total. Amidst all the love, Pathan has also had to face his own criticism and trolling. The protesters burnt posters of the film and effigies of Shah Rukh, besides launching a boycott campaign on social media. However, one protester had a change of heart after watching the film.

In a hilarious video from Patna, a man in an interview with a local news channel narrated how he was allegedly forced to watch the movie Pathan. Syed Irfan Ahmed came to protest and disrupt the show, but since there was no one to join him in the theatre, he went inside and saw the picture on a free ticket.

Giving his review of the film, Irrfan said, “First half bhi acha tha lekin second half bahut acha laga… (first half was good but the second half was even better) aaye the virodh karne lekin jo Jai Hind last me bola to rongta khada hogya ekdum goosebumps hogya (I had come to protest but when I heard Jai Hind in the end, I literally got goosebumps) Movie acha laga (The first time I have watched in protest, so I’ll watch it again. Movie is good)”

After a blockbuster weekend, Pathan completed its first week at the box office with a total collection of Rs 315 crore. The film KGF 2 has managed to beat the first week’s highest grosser of Hindi.

At the worldwide box office, the SRK-starrer has managed to collect over Rs 600 crore. At the pre-meet, an emotional Deepika Padukone said, ‘To be honest, I don’t think we are going to break records. We set out to make a good film. This is what Shah Rukh taught me in my first film. He told me that you should work with people who make you happy. It’s such a lovely environment to work in and the audience is taking it back. It’s pure, love and joy and it reflects that and that’s what the audience is taking back.”
