Patna University: 2,500 sought admission to UG courses in 3 days. Patna News – Times of India

PATNA: Patna University (PU) has received over 2,500 applications for admission to its newly introduced four-year undergraduate academic programs in the next academic session (2023-24) in just three days of opening of its admission portal. The last date for submission of online application is June 5.
PU offers undergraduate education in most of its constituent degree colleges, which include Patna CollegePatna Science College, BN College, Magadh Mahila Mahavidyalaya (for girls), and Vanijya Mahavidyalaya. While Patna College, Patna Science College and College of Commerce are single faculty institutions imparting education in Arts, Science and Commerce streams respectively, BN College and Magadh Women’s College are multi-faculty institutions.
PU Student Welfare Dean Anil Kumar This year, admission to regular conventional courses will be done on the basis of marks obtained in Intermediate (Plus Two) examination. The list of selected candidates for admission to various streams and various institutes will be published after the last date of application submission.
The total number of seats sanctioned in undergraduate courses are: Patna College (930), Patna Science College (750), B. n college (1130), Magadh Mahila College (1156), and Vanijya Mahavidyalaya (525).
The three year degree vocational courses running in various colleges of PU to which successful candidates will be admitted are Functional English (Patna College and BN College), BCA (BN College, Patna Science College, Magadh Mahila College and Directorate of Distance Education) , BBA (Patna College, BN College, Magadh Women’s College), Biotechnology (Patna Science College and BN College), Mass Communication (Patna College), Environmental Science (Patna Science College) and Social Work (Magadh Women’s College) said the Dean.
