Earlier last week, the Defense Ministry had sent the summary related to the appointment of the new Army Chief to Shahbaz Sharif. It had the names of 6 lieutenant generals. These included Faiz Hameed and Azhar Abbas, who were going to leave the post. There were already speculations that Sharif would appoint only that officer as army chief who could crack down on Imran.
