People’s love for Modi is increasing, like Congress’s hatred for him, opposition parties like a crumbling wall: BJP | India News – Times of India

New Delhi: BJP targeted this on Monday Congress for the “hateful” comments of its leaders against the prime minister Narendra Modi And insisted that people’s love for him is growing because of the “hatred” of the opposition party for him.
BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi Claimed that there are more than 80 cases of objectionable remarks of Congress leaders Modi over the years, starting with its president Sonia Gandhi“Maut ka Saudagar” (merchant of death) taunts the then Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2007.
He asked the opposition party whether it had expelled anyone or taken any disciplinary action against anyone.
Congress leader and former Union minister Subodh Kant Sahai alleged that Modi is behaving like Adolf Hitler and “will die like Hitler” if he follows the path of the German dictator.
The Congress, however, distanced itself from the party’s ‘satyagraha’ statement against the Centre’s Agneepath scheme at Jantar Mantar here, saying it does not support any derogatory remarks against the prime minister.
Trivedi also rejected the Congress charge that the ruling party’s “political vendetta” was behind the Enforcement Directorate’s inquiry. Rahul Gandhi In the National Herald case, he said that the Congress leader himself has taken his party to the pits.
The BJP didn’t need to do anything, he said lightly, comparing the opposition party to a crumbling wall under its current leadership.
He said the Congress was passing through the worst phase in its history, with the party’s tally in the last two elections being around 50 Lok Sabha seats.
Trivedi claimed that in the past its leadership was considered “heroes” or “villains”, but now it has become a subject of ridicule.
He said it would be better for Rahul Gandhi to behave like a responsible MP and not consider himself a prince of a dynasty which needs to be treated differently than a common man.
Hitting out at the Congress for Sahay’s comments, which came after another party leader Sheikh Hussain’s derogatory reference to Modi, the BJP spokesperson said the opposition party was complacent in its “hatred and malice” for the prime minister. All limits have been crossed.
Trivedi, a Rajya Sabha MP, cited several “abuses” or “abuse-like” references to Modi by Congress leaders over the years.
“What happened in the last 15 years? People’s blessings towards Modi kept increasing and at the same time your (Congress) hatred towards him… people’s love for him is increasing,” he said. Success since becoming Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time in 2001.
In return, the Congress is falling while its leaders have wished “violence and death” on Modi, he said.
The BJP leader claimed that it was the Congress that was suffering from a “Hitler-like mentality” as he said that its then president Dev Kant Barua had said that “India is Indira and Indira is India”.
Trivedi said a similar slogan was raised at the Nazi Party convention, in which Hitler was compared to Germany and Germany to Hitler.
