‘Perpetrators of Rajouri attack will be punished’: J&K LG Manoj Sinha after meeting families of victims in Dhangadi

Rajouri/Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said the perpetrators of the two attacks on civilians in Rajouri’s Dhangari village will be punished soon and reiterated that Narendra Modi is committed to eliminating all forms of terrorism from the Union Territory. Attack on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir

A total of six people were killed in two attacks on civilians in Dhangri village — four on Sunday evening when militants opened fire on houses, and two in an IED blast on Monday morning — prompting protests by members of the minority community. The lieutenant governor told the protesters, “I have heard many of you. This is the commitment of the Government of India to eliminate terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir.”

According to officials, on Sunday evening, terrorists fired at three houses in Dangri village, killing four civilians and injuring six others. Locals said that after 14 hours, an IED blast occurred near the house of Pritam Lal, the victim of the terrorist attack on Sunday evening. Many people, including Lal’s relatives, were present in the house when the blast took place at around 9.30 am.

Two cousins ​​- Saanvi Sharma (16) and Vihaan Kumar Sharma (4) – were killed and six people were injured in the blast. Sinha said that there is no compensation for these deaths. Sinha said, “It is a grave loss for the families. What you told me (about security lapses and measures), I promise you that we will go into the depth of the matter. Whatever strong and necessary action will be needed.” , she will be done.”
