PM Modi to formulate a common vision to make India a developed nation by 2047 | India News – Times of India

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday underlined the need to develop a common vision to achieve the goal of a developed India by 2047 and asked states to take economically prudent decisions capable of carrying out programs that fulfill the dreams of citizens.
Modi said this while addressing the eighth Governing Council meeting NITI AayogIn which many Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories and Union Ministers participated.

The Prime Minister also urged the states to take financially prudent decisions, which would make them financially sound and able to run programs for the welfare of the citizens.
In another tweet, the commission said, “PM @narendramodi urges states to take fiscally prudent decisions to become financially sound and able to deliver programs that fulfill citizens’ dreams.”
The Eighth Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog deliberated on a number of issues including health, skill development, women empowerment and infrastructure development with the aim of making India a developed nation by 2047.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the meeting.
Union Ministers Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal and Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh, among others, attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Punjab and Delhi boycotted the meeting.
The full council usually meets every year and was chaired by Modi on August 7 last year.
The council meeting was not convened in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The first meeting of the Council was held on February 8, 2015.
