PM Modi to visit Bengaluru and Mysore on June 20-21: Karnataka CM

“On June 20 and 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Bengaluru and Mysore. We have got the schedule of his program. After reviewing the preparations at Kommaghatta, Bommai said that PM Modi will land at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru at 11.55 am on June 20 and from there he will take a helicopter to the Air Force Command. Proceed further to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where he will attend two events.

At IISc, Modi will inaugurate the Brain Cell Development Centre, for which IT major Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan and family have donated Rs 450 crore. Bommai said the prime minister will also lay the foundation stone for an 850-bed research hospital, which is being set up by IT company Mindtree.

After IISC, the PM is going to Kommaghatta to lay the foundation stone for the Bengaluru suburban railway project and inaugurate or lay the foundation stone for railways, road projects and multi-modal logistic parks.

Stating that there is a need for a suburban railway for Bengaluru to connect the city with the outskirts, the CM said that talks about the Rs 15,000 crore project were going on for a long time and work is to be started with the coming of the BJP government. Bommai said the Prime Minister would later visit the Dr BR Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE), where he would unveil a statue of Ambedkar and inaugurate the BASE, after which he would go to Mysore to participate in several programs. He will also visit Chamundi hills and worship Chamundeshwari, the goddess of Mysore and its royal families, and will also visit the state’s premier Lingayat madrassa Suttur Math.

He said that on June 21, Modi will participate in the Yoga Day program at the Palace Complex in Mysore.
