Three people died in two separate road accidents in the district. Sand contractor Mohd. Arif (35) was crushed by the truck. At the same time, in Baraut of Handia, the uncontrollable car became a death sentence for the bike-riding cousins. The truck driver has been apprehended while the driver of the car is being traced.
Arif lived in Akama Colony, located near Chetna Girls Inter College, Kareli. He had gone to the site near GT Jawahar Square late on Saturday night. From there he started returning by bike around one o’clock in the night. A speeding truck crushed him at Bangar intersection. Due to this he died on the spot.
Police arrived on information and took the truck driver into custody. He was brought to the police station along with the truck. On the other hand, Nagma, the wife of the contractor also came on the information. Kidganj Inspector Ramamurthy Yadav said that the accused driver has been arrested while registering a case on the complaint of the deceased’s wife. Along with this, the truck has also been seized.
Accident happened while going for darshan
On the other hand, cousins were killed in an accident at Baraut in Handia. Sushil Maurya (21), his cousin Vivek (30) and family member Ritesh (18), residents of Bhamai Husamganj village in Phulpur, were going to visit Sitamarhi in Bhadohi on the same bike. He had reached in front of Chakmada village on the Kokhraj-Handia highway in Baraut when a car coming from behind hit him. Vivek and Sushil fell on the road and the car ran over them. Due to this he died on the spot.
On the other hand, Ritesh, the third youth riding the bike, was also seriously injured. He has been admitted to CHC. In CHC, Ritesh told that the car rider fled towards Varanasi. He told that Vivek used to work in Surat and had come home only 10 days ago. Sushil was a student of ITI. Handia Inspector Dharmendra Kumar Dubey told that the driver of the car is being searched.
