President Draupadi Murmu is on a three-day tour of Jharkhand these days. During this, she is also participating in programs. He inaugurated the new building of Jharkhand High Court in Ranchi on Wednesday constructed at a cost of about Rs 550 crore. The 165-acre campus of the new High Court is the largest in the country in terms of area.

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Chief Minister Hemant Soren and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. The new High Court building has 25 air-conditioned courtrooms and two halls with a seating capacity of 1,200 and 540 chambers for lawyers, an official said.

Earlier, President Draupadi Murmu visited Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar, Jharkhand and prayed for the welfare of all countrymen. Along with this, he paid homage to the statues of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Paramveer Chakra winner Lance Naik Albert Ekka in Ranchi.

Center and CJI should make sure to implement the orders of the courts: Murmu

President Draupadi Murmu said on Wednesday that sometimes court orders are not implemented. The government and the Chief Justice of India should ensure that justice is delivered in the truest sense of the term. Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the new building of the Jharkhand High Court here, Murmu said that even after a favorable verdict, people’s happiness is sometimes short-lived as the court’s orders are not implemented. The President lauded the CJI for speaking in Hindi, saying the language of justice should be inclusive. Murmu said that many times, the costly process of justice makes it out of reach of common people.
