Priyanka Chopra took a trip down the memory lane after she shared a picture of herself in Miss India Crown.

Priyanka Chopra is a multifaceted individual, known for her roles as an actor, singer, and entrepreneur. Her rise to fame can be traced back to her victory in the Miss World 2000 pageant. Recently, she shared a nostalgic moment by posting a throwback picture from her beauty pageant days alongside a current mirror selfie.

In the throwback photo, Priyanka is seen wearing her Femina Miss India 2000 sash and a white sari, while the present-day picture captures her in a grey jeans jacket paired with a white crop-top and matching pants, striking a mirror selfie pose. Reflecting on her journey, Priyanka humorously penned the caption, “How it started.. how it’s going. (hearts emojis) PS: those 2000s brows though (eyes emoji). My 17 year old self was just trying to pretend like I belonged. In that moment I was desperately trying to keep it together. With the weight of the heavy sari and the newly acquired crown flimsily pinned into my hair with 2 bobby pins, my confidence was slowly slipping as well. But I held it together, just like my sari, with a few safety pins. (smiling emoji).”

Just a few days back, Priyanka uploaded a picture with Thalapathy Vijay on Instagram story, as her debut film, Thamizhan, completed 22 years of its release. In the throwback picture shared by the actress, she could be seen sharing the stage with Thalapathy Vijay, composer D. Imman and others. Along with the picture, she wrote, “22 years of Thamizan.”

From her debut in Vijay’s Thamizhan to impactful performances in Bollywood movies like Fashion, where she won a National Award for Best Actress, Priyanka’s career has been diverse and successful. Her more recent work includes roles in films like The Hero: Love Story of a Spy and Love Again.

Earlier, in an interview with Vanity Fair, Priyanka talked about her debut and the struggles she faced while filming Thamizhan. She said, “I remember Thamizhan, which was really difficult for me as I did not know Tamil as a language. I was learning it phonetically, memorising it, understanding the meaning behind it, and then saying my lines.”

Currently, she is working on the upcoming movie Heads of State, an action-comedy featuring stars like Idris Elba and John Cena. Additionally, Priyanka has extended her influence by becoming an executive producer for the Oscar-nominated documentary To Kill a Tiger.
