Punjab BJP chief Ashwini Sharma accused party members of making threat calls. Ludhiana News – Times of India

Ludhiana: Punjab BJP President Ashwani Sharma on Saturday expressed concern over the “deteriorating” law and order situation in the state and claimed that leaders of the saffron party were receiving threat calls.
Sharma alleged that the police officials were not acting on their complaints as if they were not allowed to act.
He suspected that the ruling party was deliberately getting this done and from the past incidents it seemed as if the government was harboring extremists who wanted to harm communal harmony and peace in Punjab.
Ashwini Sharma while briefing the media persons at the Circuit House said, “There were repeated incidents in the crimes. The people of Punjab are in constant fear and that is the reason they are going abroad or at least to other states where they can find a peaceful environment.
He questioned CM Bhagwant Mann as to why he is silent on the claims of Khalistan supporter Gurpatwant Singh Pannu that AAP government was formed in Punjab with his support.
He said, ‘Perhaps this is the reason why crimes have increased because the government has given a free hand to the supporters of Khalistan.’
Talking about relocating industries from Punjab, he said, “All this is happening only because of the atmosphere of fear in Punjab and also because no beneficial schemes are being given to the industrialists”.
On non-implementation of centrally funded schemes in the state, Sharma said, “The ruling party has failed to take advantage of these schemes and now we have decided to form a three-member committee at the state level which will bridge the gap. between plans. Schemes like Atta Dal, PM Awas Yojana etc. will be implemented in a better way.
Sharma advised the ruling party to spend the money on paying its share in the Ayushman scheme instead of advertising in the papers.
