When the child was walking by the side of the swimming pool, the python attacked him.
A five-year-old boy in Australia miraculously survived after being dragged into a swimming pool by a python three times his size. BBC, The boy, identified as Beau Blake, was with his father and grandfather for a swim at home in Byron Bay, New South Wales, on Thursday when a 10-foot python struck. The snake wrapped itself around the boy and dragged him inside the pool. Beau’s grandfather, 76, dived into the pool and rescued the boy. His father present on the spot saved the boy’s leg.
“Beau was just taking a walk at the edge of the pool…and I believe the python was sitting there waiting to come along with prey…and Beau was him. I saw a big black shadow coming out of the bush.” and completely wrapped around his leg,” said the boy’s father, Ben BBC,
Recalling the bravery shown by the boy’s grandfather, Ben said, “He passed him to me and then I had to separate the two. I got him off his feet. It was a somewhat ordeal.”
Beau survived with minor injuries and is doing well.
“Once we cleaned up the blood and told him he wasn’t going to die because it wasn’t a venomous snake…he was actually quite well,” Ben told a Melbourne radio station. 3AW,
Last month, a 52-year-old woman was swallowed whole by a python in Indonesia’s Jambi province. According to local reports, villagers searching for the woman killed and butchered the snake, following which the body was found.
Jahrah, a rubber tapper, went missing while on her way to work. The police started searching for the woman after her relatives lodged a missing complaint when she did not return from work.
A day later, one of the search parties found a python with a large belly. When the local people cut the python, Zahra’s body was found inside the python.
