Responding to this, Scindia asked why Gandhi did not apologize for his “derogatory” remarks about the backward classes.

“Instead, he says he is not Veer Savarkar and will not apologise. “An insult to a patriot and so much arrogance,” the BJP leader said.

He further said that the grand old party has “always pointed fingers at the courts and now why are you putting pressure on them for your selfishness”.

In a direct attack on Gandhi, he further said, “Why should the rules be different for you? Do you consider yourself a first class citizen? You are so shattered in your ego that it is beyond your understanding to even appreciate the importance of these questions.”

Earlier this week too, Scindia launched a scathing attack on Gandhi and the Congress, alleging that the party has been left with no ideology other than “traitors” working against the country.

On 5 April, Scindia accused the Congress of giving “special treatment” to Rahul Gandhi after he was convicted in a defamation case and accused the party of putting pressure on the judiciary and doing everything possible to remain relevant.

Other reactions to Gandhi’s tweet

Before him, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who was also mentioned in Gandhi’s tweet, reacted and said he will sue the congress leader for defamation for associating him with the Adani group.

“I am currently busy preparing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state, so I don’t want to answer that right now. But after PM Modi leaves, I will take necessary action and file a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi.

The Chief Minister of Assam said, “But not now, I do not want to talk about politics, because we want to celebrate Bihu.”
