Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Raksha Bandhan, the trailer of which was released last week. On Tuesday, Ram Charan praised the trailer of the film on his official Twitter account. He described it as “beautiful and pious” and sent the film’s director Aanand L Rai a happy birthday. “What a trailer @akshaykumar sir! The beautiful and sacred bond of a brother and sister is captured incredibly in the trailer,” wrote the megastar.
Soon after, Akshay replied to the tweet and thanked his ‘Anna’. “Thank you so much @AlwaysRamCharan Anna ️ and just like our birthday boy @aanandlrai the #Rakshabandhan story is totally heartwarming!” He replied.

The heart-wrenching exchange of tweets between the two superstars left fans in awe. “Fandoms go north-south all day while actors praise each other. Learn from them,” read one of the tweets. Some social media users even joked that Akshay was cast as ‘Anna’ for Ram Charan Because Ram Charan is older than before. He explained that the word Anna is used for elder brother and told that Akshay is 54 years old while Ram Charan is only 37 years old. “Areyya…Akshay. ..ramcharan is like ur thambi (younger brother)…not anna”, a tweet read.
Talking about Raksha Bandhan, apart from Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar is also in the film. It revolves around a middle-aged man who is on the hunt for the perfect match for his four sisters as his own ladylove awaits him. The film will hit the theaters on August 11 and will clash with Laal Singh Chaddha at the box office.
On the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in Kortala Shiva’s Acharya, which also starred his father Chiranjeevi in the lead. She is rumored to have a special appearance in Salman Khan’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
