Ram Charan fans, after much delay, are rejoicing once again. They are eagerly waiting for the release of his upcoming and highly-anticipating movie, Game Changer. The movie is currently in the production stage and is expected to hit the theatres later this year. While the official date for its release is awaited, an official announcement was recently made regarding its OTT rights. As per news reports, the film’s digital rights were sold at a whopping price. The digital rights of the movie have been bought by Amazon Prime Video. The OTT platform took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to make the announcement. The post’s caption read, “An honest IAS officer battles political corruption through fair elections to change the game of governance. #GameChanger is available post-theatrical release.”

As per the reports, Amazon Prime Video secured rights for the Southern language versions of the film at a whopping price of Rs 105 crore. This is an important milestone in the Telugu film industry. It is being speculated that the Hindi OTT rights of the movie might be locked by Zee5.

Game Changer is headlined by Ram Charan and Bollywood actress Kiara Advani. It will also feature other artists like Anjali, SJ Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Samuthirakani and Nassar. Ram Charan will essay the role of an IAS Officer, Ram Madan, while Kiara Advani will be his love interest and another fellow IAS officer. The movie is directed by Shankar and marks his debut directorial. The screenplay is written by Karthik Subbaraj. The music department is being handled by Thaman. As per reports, the first single of the movie may be released on Ram Charan’s birthday, March 27.

Apart from this, director Shankar is also planning to release his highly-anticipated drama headlined by Kamal Haasan, Indian 2 this year. Ram Charan was last seen in the movie Acharya which was released in 2022, the same year, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, RRR starring Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn and others released.
