After a video clip gave fans a glimpse of the ‘ancient’ pillars erected in the film city for the shoot, a new set of photos obtained by Zoom reveal major spoilers from the film sets. In a bunch of photos that were posted online, actor Arun Govil could be seen in full costume, portraying the role of Raja Dashrath, shooting scenes with some of the child stars on the sets.The veteran star was seen interacting with the young boys believed to be playing the roles of Lord Ram, Laxman and Bharat.
Meanwhile, Lara Dutta was seen in a saree and heavy gold jewellery as she took to the sets as Kaikeyi. The actress was spotted while making her way to the sets. Also spotted was actress Sheeba Chaddha in costume as Surpanakha.
In the images director Tiwari was also spotted overseeing the production from his director’s chair.
The leaked photographs also showcase the elaborate set design, reflecting the grandeur of this mythological retelling. In a bid to bring authenticity to the project, it was reported in February that leading man, Ranbir Kapoor would undergo rigorous voice, diction and physical training to take on the role of Lord Ram.
Reports stated that Nitesh is going all out to make sure that Ranbir sounds different from the characters he’s played in the past. While the actor is currently still in training, he is expected to join the cast soon, along with Sai Pallavi who has been cast as Goddess Sita. Sunny Deol will also join in as Lord Hanuman and actor Yash is set to take on the role of Ravan.
Furthermore, reports suggest that Bobby Deol has been approached to portray Kumbhkaran, while Vijay Sethupathi is being considered for the role of Vibhishan.
