Raveena Tandon on wanting to be a part of ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’: “I would love to do it” | – Times of India

Actress Raveena Tandon, who is receiving much appreciation for her recently released series ‘Patna Shuklla‘, expressed her desire to work in the sequel of ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. Recently during an Instagram Live, Aamir Khan disclosed that filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of the film. But he also urged his fans not to get excited about it, stating that it is still in its early stages.The 1994 cult comedy ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles.
In an interview with IndiaToday.in, Raveena Tandon was asked if she would like to appear in the ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ sequel after Aamir Khan made hints about it. The actress instantly replied, “I would love to do it. A good comedy is something I would love to do.”
During an Instagram Live on March 14, Aamir Khan interacted with his fans and made a big revelation. The superstar dropped hints that the iconic comedy entertainer ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is coming with the sequel ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2‘. Aamir continued, giving a hint, saying, “Writer Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’.” However, the actor also added that it is still in the beginning stages and it’s also too early to get excited about.
For a very long time, the sequel of Andaz Apna Apna was in discussion and since Aamir has hinted at it, we may expect to see the return of two beloved characters, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan’s Amar and Prem, respectively.
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is considered a cult classic in Bollywood’s comedy genre. The film was released in 1994 but it did not work well at the box office at the time as it gained recognition in later years. Fans loved the bond shared between Aamir and Salman in the film. It also starred Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor in key roles. Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor were also in the film.
