Richa Chadha on her Twitter handle reacted to Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi’s statement that the Indian Army is ready to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The actor made a reference to Galwan.

Sharing a post on the statement, the actress wrote, ‘Galwan Sage Hi’. Reacting to the same, BJP’s Manjinder Singh Sirsa tweeted, ‘Shameful tweet. Should be taken back asap. It is not fair to insult our armed forces.

Soon Richa came under social media fire as people on Twitter slammed the actress for mocking the Indian Army and belittling the sacrifice of soldiers in the 2020 Galwan clash between India and China.

Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi issued a statement on Tuesday in reference to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s earlier statement that India’s goal is to regain Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He said that he has just started his journey of development in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. They will reportedly achieve their goal once they reach Gilgit and Baltistan.

He also said that the Army is always ready to ensure that the ceasefire understanding is never broken as it is in the interest of both the countries, but if ever broken, we will give a befitting reply to them.
