Rinku Singh named in Asian Games team; Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead. Cricket News – Times of India

New Delhi: Ruturaj Gaikwad Appointed the captain of the Indian team for Hangzhou Asian GamesWhile IPL star Rinku Singh also got his deserved inclusion.
Rinku, whose absence from the T20 series in the Caribbean was questioned, has now cemented his place in the team asian gamesScheduled to take place from 23 September to 8 October.
Since the continental games coincide with the start of the ODI World Cup, a B team has been formed to represent India.
Gaikwad and Rinku have been included in the team Shivam Dubey, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Vermaand Prabhsimran Singh, all of whom have been selected on the basis of their outstanding performances in the IPL.

Dube had a stellar season, playing a key role in helping CSK win a record-equalling fifth title, a significant milestone in his career.
Jaiswal scored a century on his Test debut against the West Indies on Thursday, becoming only the third Indian to score 150 on debut for India.
Tilak has also been included in the squad that will take on the West Indies in a five-match series starting August 3.
Gaikwad, who will lead the team in China, is currently in the Caribbean with the Test team.
Wicket-keeper batsman Jitesh Sharma and left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh are also part of the squad.
Cricket was last played at the Asian Games in 2014 when India did not participate.
The BCCI’s Apex Council approved the participation of men’s and women’s teams earlier this month.
