Neetu Kapoor marked 45 years of Jhootha Kahin Ka starring her late husband Rishi Kapoor with a still.

Veteran Bollywood actress Neetu Kapoor married Rishi Kapoor in 1980. The actress worked with the late actor on several movies and eventually fell in love with him. They dated for three years and were engaged for a brief period before they tied the knot. Among the movies in which they starred together, Jhootha Kahin Ka remains to be one of the cult classics. As the film completed 45 years on Sunday, Neetu Kapoor celebrated the moment with a still from their film.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Neetu Kapoor shared a still from Jhootha Kahin Ka, in which she can be seen holding hands with Rishi Kapoor, as she is facing the other way. Meanwhile, Rishi Kapoor gazes at the actress lovingly, with a smile on his face. Posting the same, Neetu Kapoor wrote, “Jhootha Kahin Ka-45 years of release today. 30 March 1979.”

Interestingly, a couple of years back, Neetu Kapoor had posted a rare video of her and Rishi Kapoor narrating an incident of fight between them during a song shoot of Jhootha Kahin Ka (1979). The co-stars had broken up and were not speaking to each other during the four days of the shoot, but continued to look happy for the cameras.

The actress narrated the incident during her appearance at Indian Idol 12 appearance. She posted a video clip of her narrating the incident, along with an older video of her late husband talking about the same thing at an event several years ago.

In the video, Rishi describes that when the song was beng picturised, Neetu and he were not on talking terms. It took fours days to shoot the song. “But when you seen on the screen, it seems we were deeply in love,” he said.

While narrating the same incident on Indian Idol 12, Neetu said, “In the Jhootha Kahi Ka song Jeevan Ke Har Mod Pe, we were singing and dancing and looking rather happy. But actually we had broken up. I used to cry in the makeup room, my doctor used to visit me, I was being given injections. And in front of the camera were were all excited and happy.”
