PM Modi handed over the new building of Parliament to the nation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new parliament amid havan and chanting. After the worship, the adhanams from the monasteries of Tamil Nadu handed over Sengol to PM Modi. The Prime Minister installed it next to the speaker’s chair in Parliament after prostrating. During this, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was present with him.
After the Sengol installation, PM Modi honored the Shram Yogis who were involved in the construction of the Parliament. After this there was an all-religion meeting. Union ministers and chief ministers of states were present in the prayer meeting. PM Modi reached the Parliament at 7:30 am and first bowed down to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and then joined the worship.
