On June 11, a pregnant woman was taken to the emergency department of the Mother and Child Care Hospital, RMLIMS, due to severe pain and heavy bleeding. However, no doctor attended to him for two hours and despite repeated attempts, the doctors did not respond immediately. Eventually, a doctor arrived late and informed the family of a miscarriage.
The family accused the hospital of neglecting proper care, maintaining unhygienic conditions in the labor room and failing to do regular rounds. Distressed by these irregularities, the relatives themselves decided to discharge the patient.
The relatives complained about the negligence to the Deputy CM who instructed the Principal Secretary. Medical Education Department To initiate the investigation and complete it within a week. After this PS Medical Education informed RMLIMS Director Soniya Nityananda“If any wrongdoing is found, strict action will be taken against the responsible parties,” according to the Deputy Chief Minister’s directive.
Also, Pathak orders probe into unauthorized operation of a private hospital Fatehpur, Pathak instructed the Chief Medical Officer to investigate. A team from the health department will inspect the registration and other documents of the hospital to ensure compliance with the required standards. He said that if any illegal activity is found, strict action will be taken against the hospital administration.
