With a remarkable 56-year age gap between his eldest child, Drena and the youngest, Gia, Robert De Niro’s family shares a sweet bond with each other. Gia, the newest addition to the De Niro family, arrived in April 2023 to proud parents Robert and Tiffany Chen. Apart from her, De Niro is father of Drena and Raphael from his marriage to Diahnne Abbott, twins Julian and Aaron from his past relationship with Toukie Smith and daughter Helen with ex-wife Grace Hightower. Looking at a vintage photo featuring a young De Niro in his father’s arms, Robert De Niro Sr., the Oscar winner in an interview with People has claimed that he sees a lot of similarities between himself, his youngest daughter and even his grandchildren. During the conversation, the Hollywood icon couldn’t help but gush about the adorableness of his youngest family member.

The actor said, “I probably was about three or four maybe or two maybe. Reminds me of my two youngest little girls at that age. My youngest, I see a lot of similarity and I see it also in one of my grandkids. Gia the baby, always looks at my father’s artwork. She’s such an adorable baby. She’s so sweet and probably you just look at her and everything else goes away. It’s just a great joy and relief to just be with her, in the moment. The kids all get a big kick out of her and the grandkids even, who she’s their aunt and they’re teenagers. I think they are happy about it so I’m going to have them more and more with her because they’d all be together, is everything to me.”

Further talking about his own childhood, Robert De Niro added, “I just think it was an okay childhood. I had good memories and others that I suppose. I’m glad that I grew up in New York, and was raised in New York. I’m glad that all my kids basically live here.”

The actor mentioned these teachings as ‘certain little truisms’ or life examples that leave a lasting impression.
