Dumka: Sahibganj administration will ask for details of seizures in the area Enforcement DirectorateWhich is presently investigating illegal mining and other cases in the state to ensure that it remains free from any kind of trespass.
The ED has taken this step in the wake of some local media reporting of the theft of five lakh cubic feet of stone chips from some crusher plants on July 8.
Talking to TOI on Saturday, Deputy Commissioner Ramniwas Yadav Said, “I recently investigated the alleged encroachment into five stone crusher plants sealed by the ED during raids here. On July 12, we received a letter from the ED about confiscation of five crusher plants, however, On physical inspection, we found only one crusher plant on the plot specified by the ED. Thus, we are seeking details of other plants, if any, so that proper security arrangements can be made.”
He denied having reported any incident of theft.
