Saira Banu shares her perspective on clash of opinions between Zeenat Aman and Mumtaz: ‘I would never advocate live-in relationships’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

The entertainment industry recently witnessed a clash of opinions as veteran actress Mumtaz slammed Zeenat Aman for her advice advocating live-in relationships before marriage. Mumtaz, known for her straightforward approach, criticized Zeenat by pointing out that her own marriage with Mazhar Khan had been tumultuous, casting doubt on her suitability to offer relationship guidance.
Mumtaz’s remarks came in response to Zeenat Aman’s Instagram post where she advised the younger generation to try living together before tying the knot. Mumtaz emphasized the importance of moral values in relationships and cautioned against endorsing practices that deviate from traditional norms.

Zeenat Aman shares her views on live-in relationships, says ‘society is uptight about so many things! Log kya kahenge?’

Amidst this verbal duel, yesteryear actress Saira Banu shared her perspective on the matter. “I am not reading much and I don’t really follow what they (Mumtaz and Zeenat) are saying, but we are very old-fashioned people. Our trend is 40-50 saal pehle ka. Iss baat se main toh sehmat nahi ho sakti hu kabhi bhi (I can never agree with this statement). I would never advocate live-in relationships like that. It’s something unimaginable and unacceptable for me,” Saira told Hindustan Times.

In response to Mumtaz’s critique, Zeenat maintained a composed stance, stating that everyone is entitled to their opinions and that she refrains from commenting on personal lives or belittling her colleagues.
