Salman Khan’s films, starting with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, will now premiere exclusively on Zee5.
Salman Khan continues to be one of the most influential personalities in the industry. Despite witnessing an underwhelming response to his latest release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan at the box office, the superstar has recently taken a smart move by partnering with streaming giant Zee5. Khan secured a notable five-year deal. This means, all his upcoming films starting with the much-awaited KKBKKJ, also starring Pooja Hegde, will now premiere exclusively on Zee5.
The partnership between ZEE5 and Khan has only grown stronger since the digital premiere of Radhe on the OTT platform. The curiosity about the film was so high that the ZEE5 server crashed on the day of Radhe’s release.
According to ETimes, insiders familiar with the deal have revealed that Salman Khan has an impressive line-up of films to release. The superstar is currently working on a project produced by Karan Johar. Additionally, there is excitement surrounding Khan’s reunion with filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya after Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Apart from this, his brother Sohail Khan is also ready with an exciting project.
Unfortunately the much-awaited film Tiger 3 will not be a part of this special deal. As per the source, Yash Raj Films has already entered into a deal with another OTT giant for the distribution of the action thriller. The exact financial details of the deal between Salman Khan and Zee5 are unknown. But Etimes reported that the last time Salman signed a similar deal, he was paid around Rs 400 to 500 crores.
Salman Khan recently revealed that he suffered an injury while shooting for Tiger 3. Taking to his social media accounts, Khan shared a picture showing his bare back, which was covered with tape due to the injuries. Along with the picture, the actor wrote, “When you feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders,” adding “Tiger zakhmi hai”.

Tiger 3 is the third installment of the hit franchise after the success of Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. Apart from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, who will reprise their roles, the upcoming film also stars Emraan Hashmi as the villain. The film will also feature a cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. Tiger 3 will be the fourth part of Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe.
