Salman Khan security threat: Two detained for selling bike to shooters | Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: The city police has detained two persons who sold the second-hand bike to the alleged shooters who fired a few rounds at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s house in Bandra early Sunday morning.
Due to the sensitivity of the threat and this being the second such attempt to kill Khan, the government has transferred the case to the city crime branch.
Last year, three persons were apprehended for attempting to sneak into Khan’s Panvel farmhouse.
The Bandra police, which registered the attempted murder case on Monday, handed over the case to unit 9, although the local police are conducting a parallel investigation.
On Sunday at around 5 am, two men on a motorcycle fired four rounds outside Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra, where the actor resides, and fled from the spot. CCTV installed in the area captured the individuals wearing caps and carrying backpacks.
The footage showed them firing towards the actor’s residence. One of the suspects wore a white t-shirt paired with a black jacket and denim pants, while the other was attired in a red t-shirt with denim pants. During the prima facie investigation of the CCTV footage, police tracked down the abandoned motorcycle and its owner to Panvel. Police summoned the bike owner and his friend who had sold the bike to the alleged shooters.
“ The buyers have not transferred the bike and had just done the dealing in cash. We are questioning the he bike owner who claimed to innocent and sold the bike to one person on Thursday. He does not have his details and the mobile number is found to be switched off. It appears that the conspiracy was meticulously planned and their sole intention was to send a fear and that is why they have fired early morning when the security was lapsed “ said a source.
Sources said the prime facie the plan to attack on khan was hatched in the United States on behest of Bishnoi gang.
