Sam Bahadur BO: Vicky Kaushal starrer sees marginal spike on 2nd Tuesday – Times of India

Facing tough competition from Animal, Vicky Kaushal‘s war biopic, Sam Bahadur saw a marginal spike in its collection on Tuesday, as compared to Monday. The film earned about Rs 2.40 crore as per industry tracker Sacnilk. With this, the film has crossed Rs 60 crore mark at the box office, and its grand total now stands at Rs 61.10 crore. The film on Monday had collected about Rs 2.15 crore, making it the lowest single day collection of the film, since its release on December 1.

The film had collided with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal at the box office and that has hurt the film the most, as Animal has unleashed a beast at the box office, amassing more than Rs 445 crore in just 12 days.Though the film has begun to see a drop in its collection, it is expected to cross the Rs 475 crore mark beforeDunki and Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire, releasing on 21st and 22nd December respectively.
Sam Bahadur opened to mixed reviews, but has been able to maintain a certain pace at the box office. The film is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Made on a reported budget of Rs 55 crore, the film aims to end its lifetime total at over Rs 70 crore.
Post Sam Bahadur, Vicky will be seen in a guest appearance in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki.
