Samantha set the dance floor on fire when she featured in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise with the song ‘Oo Antava’.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited movies. However, if recent reports are to be believed, it will not only mark Allu Arjun and Radhmika Mandanna’s return as Pushpa and Srivalli, but might also seen the return of the Oo Antava girl. As reported by 123Telugu, director Sukumar wants Samantha Ruth Prabhu to have a cameo in the sequel.
Reportedly, Sukumar wants Samanth to do a small song at the end of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Her character might also be extended to the third part of the film. Samantha set the dance floor on fire when she featured in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise with the song ‘Oo Antava’.
Released in 2021, Pushpa: The Rise was written and directed by Sukumar. The film turned out to be a blockbuster and ruled the box office. Recently, Samantha opened up about shooting the Oo Antava track when she revealed that it was very ‘uncomfortable’ for her as an actor. She recalled that her legs were shivering while filming the song and went on to say that it was ‘very difficult’.
“I have always operated from a space of ‘I’m not good enough, I don’t feel pretty, I don’t look like the other girls.’ So for me, it was a huge challenge. It was actually the first shot of “Oo Antava”… I was shaking from fear because sexy is not my thing. It’s not my thing. But how I’ve grown both as an actor and as a person is I’ve always made sure that I put myself in the most uncomfortable, unforgiving, very difficult circumstances,” she said during the India Today Conclave.
However, when asked if she would do a dance number again in the future, Samantha made it clear that she would never do it. “No, I don’t see the challenge in it anymore,” she said.
Meanwhile, the last leg of shooting for Pushpa 2 is currently underway. The film will hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
