East NCB President Sameer Wankhede Definitely feeling relieved today. Bombay High Court has asked CBI For not taking any coercive action against Wankhede in the ongoing corruption probe Aryan Khan Drugs-on-cruise case, by May 22.
This was revealed in a report of NCB’s SET Wankhede and other NCB officers working under him mismanaged the investigation of the drugs-on-cruise case Shahrukh Khanson of Aryan was one of the accused. Thereafter, the CBI was put in charge of probing several allegations of corruption and mismanagement leveled against Wankhede and his team of officers.

Speaking to ETimes, Wankhede said, “I have full faith in the judiciary, the central government and the CBI.
However there are some rotten apples in the department who have tried to defame me. But I am very relieved today and truth will prevail.”
Sameer Wankhede had moved the court challenging the FIR filed by the CBI and sought protection against coercive action. Wankhede said that the Central Administrative Tribunal had stayed the NCB’s vigilance report against him and in such a situation the CBI cannot register an FIR on the basis of the vigilance report.
