Samsung promises to bring Android 14 updates faster than Android 13

Samsung is one of those smartphone brands that provides quick updates to its mobiles. Google released the Android 13 update on 15 August. Nearly two months later, Samsung rolled out its One UI 5 update, based on Android 13, for the Galaxy S22 family. It recently rolled out the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, among other devices.

The South Korean smartphone company now says it will continue to strengthen its collaboration with Google and bring one ui update fast in the future. The announcement was made by the company through a blog post on its official website in the home country.

If the claim is true, then we can expect One UI 6 based on Android 14 to roll out the update to Samsung devices much faster – probably a month after Google released it.

Samsung has been on an update spree over the past few weeks. It rolled out the Android 13 based One UI 5.0 update for some of its smartphones including the Galaxy A series of phones along with its 2022 range of foldable phones followed by 2021 foldable phones. This complete list includes Samsung Galaxy A52, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.

The update brings firmware versions for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 – F721NKSU1BVK5 and F936NKSU1BVK5, respectively. While the firmware version of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is F926BXXU2DVK3. The One UI 6.0 update for the Galaxy A52 in Russia is labeled as A525FXXU4CVJB.

Users of the Samsung phones listed above can update their devices to the latest operating system by navigating to Settings on their phones and then tap on Software Update followed by Download and Install. Most likely, it will be an OTA rollout with the update available to select users initially. It will eventually be expanded to more users in the coming days.
