Thiruvananthapuram: The doctors of the mental health center who examined Sandeep prepared the report, accused Dr. Vandana Das murder, found that he does not suffer from any mental health issues. the doctor met Sandeep Central Jail, poojapuraon Saturday.
Since Sandeep had initially behaved in an unusual manner inside the jail, the police sought a report on his mental health condition from the doctors of the mental hospital.
According to the doctors, Sandeep does not have any medical emergency for which he needs to be shifted to a hospital for treatment. The doctors have also informed the jail authorities that his health condition is stable and hence he does not require continuous medical attention.
The police will file an application for Sandeep’s custody on Monday for questioning. Police will have to take Sandeep to the hospital as part of evidence collection.
Meanwhile, the jail administration has started gathering information from Sandeep about the incidents at the hospital. He is reported to have informed them that he was not a habitual drug user, but only an alcoholic. He claimed to have said that he only used the medicines once which he had taken from the migrant labourers.
Sandeep said that he was very drunk on the day of the accident and therefore he thought that his neighbors were coming to harm him. So, he ran to escape and called the police. When the police arrived, he switched off his mobile and went into hiding but called the police again, he told prison officials.
He said that he was worried that the hospital staff along with the policemen were coming to harm him and hence he reacted violently. She is understood to have told prison officials that her primary targets were the male doctors present at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the state police chief has sought a report from them following allegations that the police did not protect the health workers of the hospital Kollam Rural SP. It was alleged that the police, who were first attacked by Sandeep, ran to escape and they had locked the victim’s door from outside. Because of this, when Sandeep was running wildly inside the hospital, the health workers could not come out of the accident. news network
