Sanjay Dutt clarifies he is NOT joining politics, urges fans to not believe rumours | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Since the last few days, amidst all the euphoria around the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, rumours were rife that Sanjay Dutt was joining politics. Reports suggested that Dutt would be contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha polls as a Congress candidate from Haryana’s Karnal. These speculations sparked more because Sanjay’s father Sunil Dutt served as a MP several times.
However, the ‘KGF’ star has denied these rumours and urged his fans to not fall for them. He took to X (Formerly Twitter) and wrote, “I would like to put all rumours about me joining politics to rest. I am not joining any party or contesting elections. If I do decide to step into the political arena then I will be the first one to announce it. Please refrain from believing what is being circulated in the news about me as of now.”
On work front, Dutt was last seen in ‘Leo’ alongside Thalapathy Vijay which was a hit. He also was seen in a cameo in ‘Jawan’. At the moment, he’s shooting for ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ (Welcome 3) which also stars Akshay Kumar, Shreyas Talpade, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani among others.
The film is directed by Ahmed Khan. Dutt will also be sharing screen space with Raveena in ‘Ghanchakar’.
