Speaking with ETimes, Sara Ali Khan stated, “I think living with a single mother has a huge role to play in it. At a very early age, I realised koi aapke liye kuchh karne nahi wala (nobody is going to do anything for you). It’s not that I don’t get help, I do. But ultimately, you are the mover and initiator of your life. If you are lucky, stars align and God wills, then it will happen. You can’t be waiting around for things to happen, it doesn’t work like that.”

Earlier in an interview with News18, Sara had opened up on the equations she shares with her parents and how the thought of their absence from her life scares her to bits. Talking about her mother, she shared, “Visualising life without mom to any degree is what scares me the most. Most often the one thing that I can definitely rely on is that mom is the reason to wake up. On most days, that’s it, that’s the reason. I can’t not have that.”

Sara Ali Khan was last seen in the super-hit film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke alongside Vicky Kaushal. She is currently busy with the shooting of Anurag Basu’s upcoming film Metro…In Dino alongside Aditya Roy Kapoor.
