Hubli: Schools reopened in the district on Wednesday after summer vacation. In the schools, the officials and teachers of the education department congratulated the children by giving them roses and chocolates.
The school management has made necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the classes. Students including those from private schools enthusiastically attended their classes. In Dharwad district, 50 per cent students attended classes on the first day. There was an atmosphere of celebration in some schools in the twin cities of Hubli-Dharwad.

In Tadsinakoppa village, a special enrollment drive was launched to enroll all out-of-school children in government schools. The teachers distributed books and uniforms to the students.
DDPI Shanamuk Swami Keladimath told TOI that all the schools in the district got a good response on the first day. “50% children attended the classes today. Awareness programs are being organized in all government schools. We will focus on identifying and enrolling out-of-school children.
Ru Baddi, headmaster of Durgadevi High School, also said that 50% of the students attended classes on the first day. The headmaster said, “The admission process is still going on.”
K teacher Sangamesh P Mister Jagataguru Gangadhar High School, Moorasweera Math, Hubli said that on the first day girl students participated in the classes enthusiastically. “Students were also served sweets along with the mid-day meal. They were also distributed books and uniforms.
