Saanya Iyer has recently proven to be one of the most sensational actresses. Her recent appearance in Bigg Boss Kannada OTT and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 brought her even closer to the viewers. Saanya conquered millions of hearts as a child actress with her portrayal of the Gowri junior in Puttagowri Madve.
While Saanya’s mother Deepa Iyer is a serial actress, her father is a familiar face as a television director. Her aunts Roopa and Shilpa Iyer work in other areas of the film industry.
“My passion for acting came when I started accompanying my mother to the set. I always became curious when so many people came and talked to my mother and not to me. When she explained the reason to me, I realised that she was only concerned about attention, which I liked, and that’s why I’m here,” Saanya Iyer said in an interview.
Saanya has been involved in serials since she was at LKG. “I don’t even know how many serials I’ve done so far. At the moment, I enjoy participating in Putt Gowri Maduve, a series about child marriages that conveys a good message. At first, the production company was sceptical about accepting me because I looked big for my age. But later they thought I was suitable for the role and chose me. Now I still have two months of filming time,” she added.
Saanya is also a well-known name in film circles. She has acted in eight films and the films Vimukti and Mukha Putta were even awarded. She also shared the screen with Puneeth Rajkumar in a remake of the Telugu film Dookudu. She played the heroine’s sister role.
The actress will now debut as the female lead in the Kannada film industry with Indrajit Lankesh’s Gauri. Along with the actress, Samarjit Lankesh, son of Indrajt Lankesh, will also debut in the film industry with this movie. The team have completed the shooting of the movie. Recently, Saanya Iyer has shared glimpses of her dubbing session for the movie. The actress is supposedly dubbing her character’s voice in the movie in different languages.
